Steak Cookoff Association (SCA) Competition Class – Sunday, 10 July 2022 TBD

Are you a BBQ and grilling enthusiast that wants to take your steak cooking to the next level? This how-to class can help you realize your steak competition dreams!

Our very own Chef-in-Residence Jeff Fritz will be teaching a How-To Basics Class on set-up, steak trimming, and cooking techniques that the Pro’s use to walk the stage.

Each two (2) hour class will cover:

  • Set up basics, types of grills, grill grates, probes and more.

  • Learn what the judges are looking for, steak selection, trimming, tying, and more.

  • Learn to cook the perfect steak, understanding carry over, finishing, and box placement.

This class is great for all skill levels – amateur, novice or pro!

Liberty Delight Farms will be hosting an internationally sanctioned Rib Eye Throw Down STEAK COOKOFF September 24th! We have partnered with the Steak Cookoff Association (SCA) and Turkey Smoke of the National Turkey Federation and more to bring this international competition to this area of Maryland.

Chef Fritz has competed professionally since 2012 in competitions in Canada, the US, and in the Middle East. He has won numerous Gold and other medals along with multiple Best In Show categories. As an Open-Fire Chef he has competed along side The Shed BBQ team at events around the country winning multiple awards at the World Food Championships, World BBQ Championships, and the American Royal competitions over the last 5+ years. His most notable finishes were, 11th in the World in Steak at the World Food Championships in 2018, World BBQ Champions at Memphis in May 2018, and multiple Kingsford Tour of Champion titles to name a few.
